Hardware-based trigger system for detection of alpine mass movements based on a geophone
Hardware based trigger system for rapid processes (debris flows or debris flow-like processes) which implements a time-threshold criterion for the geophone signal. The threshold values are based on the empirical data of the MAMODIS debris flow detection system. These values for amplitude threshold and time interval can be adjusted within certain limits using a potentiometer. These trigger circuit board is not a detection system, but can be used for triggering further measurement systems.
The trigger system has been developed within the research project MonKey!
