ALMOSYS leads and partners in various research projects in the field of alpine natural hazards and is happy to support you in your research project.
Current research projects:
DYMAS
"Detektion von dynamischen Einwirkungen von Massenbewegungen auf flexible Schutzsysteme"
Follow-up project to RODAS - Improvement and extension of the mass movement detection system for flexible protection systems
MonKey
"Monitoring of torrential Key Barriers / Monitoring von Wildbach-Schlüsselbauwerken"
This project aims to develop and establish an automated IoT monitoring and warning system for torrent key barriers
Completed research projects:
RODAS
"Detektion von Steinschlag mittels Körperschall an Steinschlag-Netzen"
Development of a detection system that reliably detects rockfalls using acoustic sensors which record structure-borne noise on the steel cables of rockfall nets.
Automatische Identifikation alpiner Massenbewegungen
This project aims to further develop the warning system MAMODIS based on a combination of infrasound and seismic signals. The system will identify and quantify the type, speed, and magnitude of mass movements.
